An LED draws a fraction of the power a halogen or an incandescent fitting needs for the same light, and it lasts long enough that most fittings in this range have the diodes built into the body rather than sitting in a replaceable bulb.

That one change decides a lot about how you shop. With an integrated LED there is no socket, no bulb to match and nothing to buy again later. With a bulb fitting you keep the option to change the colour or the brightness without changing the light. What's in this range

There are 37 LED products here, priced from 40 to 260 AUD. The recorded wattages span the widest spread of any collection in the store, from 0.2 W on the smallest accent products up to 48 W on a full ceiling fitting. Heights run from 2.4 cm to 180 cm and diameters from 6.5 cm to 40 cm, which reflects how many different shapes an LED can take once it no longer has to house a bulb.

Integrated LED is recorded on eight products and is the most common source in the range. Where a socket is listed instead, it is E27 or G9. Materials include ABS, ABS with PVC, wrought iron with acrylic, and metal or iron shades. Power is mains AC on most fittings and USB at 5 V on the desk and strip products. Colour temperature is stated where the fitting offers a choice: warm white, a 3000K to 6000K range, a 2700K to 6500K tri colour setting and a tunable warm to cool option all appear. How to choose

Integrated LED or a replaceable bulb

An integrated LED lets the fitting be slimmer and takes maintenance off your hands, but when the diodes reach the end of their life the fitting is replaced rather than the light source. A socket fitting is the opposite trade. If a light is going somewhere hard to reach, think about which of those two you would rather deal with in a few years.

Dimming needs a dimmer made for LEDs

Not every LED dims, and a dimmable LED fitted to an older dimmer built for incandescent bulbs can flicker or buzz. Check two things: that the product page says the fitting dims, and that the dimmer on your wall is rated for LED loads. Several products here dim by touch or by remote instead, which sidesteps the wall dimmer entirely.

Colour temperature in Kelvin

A lower Kelvin number is a warmer, more yellow light. A higher one is cooler and whiter. Warm settings suit rooms used to relax in, cooler settings suit benches and desks. Several fittings here switch between settings, which is the practical answer for a room that does both. The values available are printed on each product page.

Wattage tells you consumption, not brightness

Wattage is how much power the fitting draws. Two LED fittings at the same wattage can put out different amounts of light, and an LED at 10 W is not comparable to an old bulb at 10 W. Use wattage to compare running cost and to size a fitting to a room, and read the rest of the specification for the character of the light.

Mains, USB or rechargeable

Ceiling and pendant fittings here run on mains AC and need wiring. Desk lamps and strip lights in the range run from USB at 5 V, which means a power bank or a laptop can run them and no electrical work is involved. That difference decides where a product can go as much as its shape does.

Can I replace the LED when it stops working?

Only on the fittings that take a bulb. Where the product page lists an E27 or G9 socket, the bulb is replaceable. Where it says integrated LED, the light source is part of the fitting and is not user replaceable.

Are all LED lights dimmable?

No. Dimming is stated product by product on this range, and most of the fittings that record it are not dimmable. If you already have a dimmer switch, confirm both that the fitting dims and that your dimmer is made for LEDs.

Can an LED fitting go in a bathroom?
